A career built on curiosity, care, and the belief that change is possible.

Colleen Jorgensen is an osteopath, movement specialist, and pain care educator whose work spans more than 28 years of clinical practice, teaching, and ongoing learning.

Her work reflects a lifelong interest in how the body develops, adapts, and moves, from the earliest stages through to complex patterns in adulthood.

Colleen is the creator of the DARE to Heal online pain education program.

Portrait of Colleen Jorgensen, D.O.

Lived experience.  Clinical expertise.  Whole person care.

Colleen’s work has evolved through decades of exploring movement, the body, and the many ways people experience both wellness and pain. Beginning with a foundation in dance and athletic therapy, and expanding into osteopathy, pain care education, and teaching, her path has been shaped by curiosity, ongoing study, and a willingness to question and refine her approach.

Rather than focusing on fixing isolated issues, her work supports a broader process of change, helping people reconnect with their bodies and return to the things that matter most to them.

What created the deepest shift, both in her own lived experience and her professional practice,  was encountering pain neuroscience education: the growing body of research showing that pain is far more complex, and far more changeable,  than most people have been taught. She began integrating pain education into both her clinical work and her teaching, and watched it transform not just how her clients recovered, but how they related to themselves.

Today, Colleen works across multiple channels: in her private practice, through professional training programs, through her DARE to Heal online pain care program,  and as a speaker and podcast guest.

Her consistent goal across all of it is the same: to offer people more clarity, more agency, and more JOY than they arrived with.

A philosophy of curiosity over fear

🔍

Pain does not define you

Your symptoms are real and so is your capacity to change your relationship to them. Pain is one part of the story, not the whole of it.

🧠

Understanding is powerful medicine

When people genuinely understand what is happening in their nervous system, they often stop being afraid of their sensations — and that shift alone can change the trajectory of recovery.

🤝

You are the expert on your experience

Colleen’s role is not to fix you. It is to offer tools, perspective, and presence — and to support you in developing your own insight and capacity.

🌿

Movement is medicine - wisely approached

The nervous system, body, and breath are not separate systems. The movement that heals is the kind that listens to all of them.

Why this work matters

Chronic pain is one of the most widespread and misunderstood experiences in human health. Too many people spend years feeling dismissed, confused, or hopeless — not because their pain is not real, but because they have never had the right kind of support or education.

Colleen’s work is a direct response to that gap. She is committed to offering approaches that are evidence-informed, deeply human, and grounded in genuine respect for the complexity of what each person carries.
